WedPage allows wedding guests to share photographs and memories with the couple through their wedding's Guest Hub and photo-sharing features.
These guidelines explain what you can upload and how uploaded content may be used within WedPage.
1. What You Can Upload
Guests are welcome to upload photographs and images connected with the wedding and its celebrations, including:
- Ceremony and reception photographs
- Photographs of the couple and their guests
- Group photographs
- Selfies and candid moments
- Venue, decoration and detail photographs
- Photographs from other wedding events made available through the couple's WedPage
Please only upload content that is relevant to the wedding.
2. Photo Quality
For the best experience, please upload clear, good-quality photographs where possible.
Original photographs will generally produce better results than screenshots or images that have been heavily compressed, edited or filtered.
Uploaded photographs may be displayed at different sizes or formats depending on where they appear within WedPage.
3. Respecting Other Guests
Please be considerate of the privacy and wishes of other people when sharing photographs.
You should only upload photographs that you have taken yourself or that you otherwise have permission to share.
If someone reasonably asks for a photograph featuring them to be removed, please respect their request.
Guests can also contact the couple or WedPage if they believe an uploaded photograph should be reviewed or removed.
4. Content That Must Not Be Uploaded
You must not upload content that:
- Is unlawful, threatening, abusive or seriously offensive
- Is discriminatory or promotes hatred
- Infringes another person's copyright, privacy or other rights
- Contains material you do not have permission to share
- Is deliberately misleading, malicious or harmful
- Contains spam, advertising or unrelated promotional material
- Is unrelated to the wedding or associated celebrations
- Contains malware, malicious code or other harmful material
WedPage may remove or restrict access to content that breaches these guidelines or where we reasonably consider removal necessary to protect the couple, guests, WedPage or another person.
5. Copyright and Ownership
You retain ownership of photographs and other content that you upload.
By uploading content to WedPage, you confirm that you own the content or have the necessary permission to upload and share it.
You grant WedPage permission to host, store, process, reproduce and display the uploaded content as reasonably necessary to provide the wedding's WedPage services.
This may include displaying photographs within the couple's wedding website, Guest Hub, galleries, Smart Gallery, WedPage Live and other photo features enabled for that wedding.
Where the couple chooses to create eligible printed or digital products using photographs from their wedding collection, uploaded photographs may also be made available to the couple for that purpose.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your photograph to WedPage.
6. Marketing and Promotional Use
Uploading a photograph to a wedding does not give WedPage general permission to use that photograph in advertising, social media or promotional material.
Where WedPage wishes to use identifiable guest-uploaded content for a separate marketing or promotional purpose, we will obtain appropriate permission where required.
7. Smart Gallery and Automated Organisation
Where Smart Gallery is available for the wedding, WedPage may use automated technology to help organise uploaded photographs into useful wedding categories or collections.
Automated organisation may not always be accurate, and photographs may be moved, recategorised, hidden or otherwise managed by the couple.
8. WedPage Live
Where the couple has enabled WedPage Live, selected guest photographs may appear as part of a live wedding photo display or slideshow.
Photographs may be moderated, hidden or removed by the couple or through moderation features available within WedPage.
Guests should therefore assume that a photograph uploaded during a wedding may become visible to other people attending that wedding.
9. Moderation and Removal
The couple can manage photographs uploaded to their wedding and may hide or remove content from their gallery.
WedPage may also review, restrict or remove content where reasonably necessary, including content that breaches these guidelines or applicable law.
Moderation tools can help reduce unsuitable content but cannot guarantee that every inappropriate upload will be identified or removed immediately.
10. File Types and Upload Limits
WedPage supports common image formats used by compatible devices and browsers.
Supported formats, individual file-size limits and the number of photographs that can be stored may vary according to the WedPage package, feature or technical requirements in use at the time.
11. How Long Photographs Are Kept
Uploaded photographs are normally retained while the couple's WedPage remains active.
Retention and deletion of photographs and other personal information is explained further in our Privacy Policy.
12. Reporting a Photograph
If you believe a photograph has been uploaded without permission, infringes your rights, is inappropriate, or should otherwise be removed, you can contact the couple or WedPage.
Please provide enough information for us to identify the photograph concerned.
Email: weddings@wedpage.co.uk
We will review reasonable removal requests and take appropriate action.
